Healthy Home assessment

For those of you in Washington state, the Lung Association has created a program to  assess and remedy health risks in homes, called the Healthy Home Assessment, performed by the Master Home Environmentalists trained by the Lung Association in partnership with the City of Seattle and others.  Best part is, it's free.  THat's right no cost to you to have highly trained professionals come out to your house to help you identify and improve health risks that lurk in your own home.

Mine was just done.  Paul from Pathway DC, a Seattle contracting firm, is a Master Home Environmentalist, and performed the assessment.  It was very thorough, much of the time was spent interviewing me to understand our home cleaning routines (do you ever vacuum the underside of your rugs?).  The rest of the time was spent inspecting parts of the house that might harbor unhealthy chemicals or potentially problematic situations.

We learned alot.  He gave us the top three recommendations, and a small list of other things we might think about doing.
